We came across Thoughtfully Outdoors at an open day at Stockwith Mill and although we hadn’t yet decided on a date or even what style of wedding we wanted, the beautiful marquee made a lasting impression. So, when we opted for a wedding … More celebration in my parents’ garden, we knew straight away who we wanted.
When we initially contacted them, Lexi was friendly, informative and gave lots of great suggestions of how they could help on our day (including benches for our outdoor ceremony, advising what size marquee we would need and suggested layouts within the marquee). Nothing was too much trouble and we booked straight away.
Lexi came out for a site visit and again their service was second to none. She listened to our plans and where we thought things would go, suggested a slight tweak which would work better for the marquee (we hadn’t spotted a big dip in the ground) and ran through the logistics of the day. On the day before delivery, Lexi phoned again to double check that the stage they were loading for our DJ was the correct size – their attention to detail is fabulous.
On the day of set up, Charles and his team arrived and again, they were friendly, professional and efficient. The marquee was up in no time and Charles called us in to double-check where we wanted our entrance, which sides we wanted to be able to lift etc. As the weather was not forecast to be too great, he even threw in an extra runner in order to prevent people having to walk across the grass/mud in order to get to the marquee.
The marquee itself was STUNNING! We had no end of comments from our guests about how lovely it looked – especially with the fairy lights and festoon lighting. Definitely go for these options if possible! The panoramic sides also meant that even though the wind was fierce on the day, we could still see out and enjoy the view over the fields. The dancefloor was just the right size with plenty of room to dance and was never empty. It was just perfect!
In short, we can’t thank Lexi and Charles enough. Their marquee provided the perfect venue for our wedding and it was just stunning. I would not hesitate to recommend Thoughtfully Outdoors to anyone – if you are considering a marquee, these are the people for you! We would definitely look to book with these again for any future parties or events. -

I clicked and landed on the home page of their website and almost immediately felt a good feeling about what they could do for our wedding, owing … More to the country and rustic feel that they could offer through their designs and capabilities. We also noted that they were local in our county of Lincolnshire so we had to invite them out for a chat. We booked and never looked back. The level of service, attention to detail and design and personal touches that both Charlie and Lexi gave us was amazing. A lovely company and team, we could not have asked for anymore. Although we only had a very small wedding doo in our country garden, they went above and beyond in all areas. Very professional and for a very reasonable cost also. Hosting 130 people in a marquee isn't something you do very often so it can be quite overwhelming knowing where to start. But as soon as we spoke to Lexi and Charles we knew we were in safe hands. They are an absolutely fabulous company … More to deal with, Lexi's communication was brilliant, responding quickly and thoroughly to correspondences via phone, email and WhatsApp as appropriate. This was very reassuring and gave us absolute faith in them as a company.
When the time came to erect our marquee, Lexi, Charles and their team worked very carefully with great respect for our property.

From the off they were wholly committed to ensuring a fabulous wedding venue in not a small garden but limited and unusual … More spaced area. They liaised constantly with me and my daughter and their advice and ideas were spot on as we wanted a fairly rustic style theme. Charles built a superb bar in a summer house and created covered leisure, catering and entertainment areas. Wow what can I say, charles and lexi at thoughtfully outdoors went above and beyond to throw me and my fiancé the most amazing alpine ski themed engagement party ! From the props to the lighting and even hand made rustic chalet style bar, … More everything was so fitting. They was on hand all night even helping with the catering where necissary which we hadn’t even asked them to do. It just made the whole evening stress free as nothing was too much trouble!
