Our 5m bell tent, adorned with a colonial theme offers you an unforgettable glamping experience. Thoughtfully furnished for a seamless and relaxed getaway, unwind with a G&T as the sun sets – you might just believe you’re in Africa!

Eco Loo, Shower and Power

Designed and built on site, solar lit amenities are clean and simple. This pod boasts a private hot outdoor shower experience as well as kitchenette and compost loo which uses sawdust and air circulation for a greener and more civilised approach to toilets. A shared hot shower and more washing up facilities are located 50m away. Inside the bell tent we have a small solar power system in place to support lights and USB charging points. There is no mains electricity and as of spring 2025 the colonial pod no longer has a log burner inside.

Parking

Just off the A153 and on our newly gravelled drive, there is plenty of room to park your car. We ask that all cars remain parked on the drive, and that you use the wheel barrows provided to transport your luggage to and from the pods, approximately 100m away.

Kitchenette

There is an undercover outdoor kitchenette unit fitted with cabinets and table top gas stove. Pots, crockery and cutlery, kettle and basic utensils are provided as well as a cast iron skillet for use on the tripod BBQ. We also supply you with an XL Coleman cooler box for that much needed ice.

Linens and Towels

The King bed is fully made upon arrival and 2 towels supplied. 2 stretcher beds are supplied for kids but please remember to bring linen and towels for them. There are a number of throws to keep ankles warm whilst sipping tea overlooking the misty canal.

Shared Facilities

The colonial pod benefits from a communal washing up area located only 50m away. Here you will also have access to the hot shower booth.

Dog Rules

We allow up to two well mannered dogs per pod which need to be kept under supervision at all times and not allowed to stray onto neighbouring farms. Only clean and dry paws allowed inside the pod and strictly no dogs allowed on furniture or beds. Please scoop up the poop.

What to bring

Extra firewood, head torch, toiletries, pup tent (if needed), ice, warm clothes for the evenings, wellies/walking boots for the ramblers and of course… sundowner drinks.
